: MediaTakeOut.com has learned that former Miami Heat star Glen Rice was arrested on a felony battery charge after he beat a man that he found hiding in his estranged wife's closet.
Rice, who had been separated from his wife Christina for nearly six months, went to her home unannounced and found a naked Alberto Perez hiding in the closet. Police sources tell MediaTakeOut.com that six-foot-eight former NBA star attacked Perez - punching him several times in the face. Perez subsequently fled the home - without any clothes - and called police. He received a cut to his forehead that needed nine stitches.
On Friday evening, Rice surrendered to police and was released after posting US$5,000 bond.

Most black women are hard working intelligent people. A few black women have attitudes and of course you have your azzes in every race ;but most of those that do have attitudes, have one because they have to deal with more ish then any other women in America. It takes an even stronger man to deal with a strong women. Black women by far are some of the most mistreated women in America. Any women dealing with as many things as a lot of African American women deal with they would have a lot of built up hostility and aggression. The images that you see on television and in music are normally background. Firstly,
I firmly believe that you can be a Hispanic and be black. In fact. They are. But Hispanic is just as much a part of their heritage as black is. Many hispanics, just like African-Americans are taught to hate their blackness and that black is bad. If you read my first post (a few post up from the one you decided to comment on) you will see how i feel and understand the context of the follow up post i put. I know people from the Caribbean that hate to be compared to black americans and they will go out of their way to let you know they big-up to Jamaica or Trinidad or wherever. This is their heritage and they are right in doing so.
I simply said that I am a black woman WITH A VARIED HERITAGE (I NEVER SAID RACE--PLEASE DON'T MISQUOTE ME OR INSERT YOUR OWN WORDS). That means for all you know all of my grandparents are BLACK but come from different caribbean islands or latin american countries or african countries (all places with different cultures). My grandparents are not a quarter anything and I, if anything I was more expecting to have explain myself to puertorock asking about me "denying" my different heritages and just "bigging-up" my blackness. I am no fool, noone should ever and probably would ever look at me and say...excuse me are you french? So calm down with your assumptions.
Just like a white person can have many different heritages (Italian, Polish and German for example) and be proud of the customs and traditions they have from each culture. So can us black people. Would you get angry if you asked a black person what were they and they told you they were Grenadian or Bajan or Cape Verdien or Angolan? Probably not. Her message to Rican dude was enlightening. Did more for explaining the pain sistas might feel towards white women, than I have read in a long time. Really disappointed to read through all the rest of the drama, because in the end, it became an attack on her looks, which btw, is not only false, but a gerneral measure of attackers inability to provide anything more to a debate.
